Course Name: Tower Climber (1Day-TC)
Training Duration: 1 Day (Including Theory & Practical Training)
Training Time: 08:30 – 17:00
Class Size: Minimum 6 Persons / Maximum 20 Persons.
Registration Fee: 2,000.00 Baht / Person.
Certification Issue By: 3M Safety Training Center Thailand.
Certification Validity Period: Statement of Attainment valid for 3 years from date of issue.
Training Location: 3M Safety Training Center Thailand /or Onsite.
Overview:
This course has been designed to meet or exceed the basic requirement for Tower Climber as stipulated guidelines by Working at Height in Telecommunication Industry Training Standard.
This course is aimed at delivering the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to develop student be a competence and work safely in their working at height environment.
This course has been contextualized to address the fall hazard and the important of fall protection equipment used in the Tower & Telecommunication Industry.
Target Audience: Any person and all personnel, whose work activities include working at height on tower in Telecommunication Industry.
Student Prerequisites for Training:
- Students should be physically fit and able to participate in moderately strenuous practical activities.
- Students shall be following Drug / Alcohol Policy.
- Students don’t wear any short trouser and sandal to Training Center.
- Student shall prepare and wear Safety Shoes for Training.
Document Prerequisite for Training:
- Medical Checkup Document.
- Copy ID Card /or Passport.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand in legislative requirements, roles and responsibilities for working at height and fall protection.
- Understand and be able to identify the hazards in working at height with included pre-climbing structure & workplace checks.
- Understand control measures to mitigate risk while working at height.
- Understand and Apply best practices for prevention of dropped objects with including site safety-drop zones, signage and security.
- Understand and Apply best practices for the selection and use of access systems.
- Understand and Apply best practices for fall prevention systems.
- Understand and Apply best practices for fall arrest systems. (anchorage, body support, connectors, descent systems and emergency & rescue systems).
- Understand and be able to pre-use inspection of a personal fall arrest system correctly.
- Understand and be able to fit of a personal fall arrest system correctly.
- Understand and proper demonstrate horizontal and vertical movement with included accessing structure by using personal fall arrest system.
- Understand and proper demonstrate basic work positioning system with using fall arrest systems.
- Group understand and proper demonstrate to direct lifting (10 kg) using rope pulley rigging 1:1, 2:1 (up to 50 Kg) and safe handling of tools & equipment at height (DROP Protection).
- Understand and proper demonstrate reacting to a fall emergency (as the casualty).
- Understand responding to a fall emergency (as the first person on the scene).
- Understand basic post rescue casualty management.
- Instructor demonstrate unmanned tower rescue techniques.
