Training Course Outline

 

Course Name: Working at Height for Supervisor/Rescuer/Inspector/Installer (WAH-SRII)

Training Duration: 3 Days (Including Theory & Practical Training)

Training Time: 08:30 – 16:30

Class Size: Minimum 6 Persons / Maximum 12 Persons.

Registration Fee: 33,500.00 Baht / Person.

Certification: Certificate to be issued by 3M Safety Training Center Thailand.

Certification Validity Period: Statement of Attainment valid for 2 years from date of issue.

Training Location:  3M Safety Training Center Thailand /or Onsite.

 

Overview:

This course has been designed to meet or exceed the minimum standard for Working at Height Training for Supervisor/Rescuer/Inspector/Installer Level (Competent Person/Competent Rescuer/Competent Inspector/Competent Installer), as stipulated by ANSI Z359.2 and         OSHA 1926.503.

This course is aimed at delivering students the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to competently, safely work at height, supervise work at height, conduct rescue from height, safely inspect and install key fall protection products.

This course has been contextualized to address working activities, hazards and fall protection equipment used in Industry.

 

Target Audience:

Any and all personnel at a Supervisor Level or above, who’s work activities include working at height, supervising work at height, providing emergency response while working at height, inspecting and installing fall protection equipment.

 

Student Prerequisites:

Students should be physically fit and able to participate in moderately strenuous practical activities.

Students shall be following Drug / Alcohol Policy.

Students don’t were any short trouser and sandal to Training Center.

Student shall prepare and were Safety Boots for Training.

 

Document Prerequisite for Training:

  • Medical Checkup Document.
  • Copy of ID. Card /or Passport.

  • Apply best practices for the selection, use and maintenance of access systems.
  • Apply best practices for the selection, use and maintenance of fall prevention systems.
  • Apply best practices for the selection, use and maintenance of fall arrest systems.
  • Evaluate the safety of a fall arrest system.
  • Apply conditions and limitations of fall arrest equipment standards.
  • Apply best practices for the selection, use and maintenance of anchorage.
  • Apply best practices for the selection, use and maintenance of body support.
  • Apply best practices for the selection, use and maintenance of connectors.
  • Apply best practices for the selection, use and maintenance of descent systems.
  • Apply best practices for the selection, use and maintenance of emergency and rescue systems.
  • Demonstrate pre-use inspection of a personal fall arrest system.
  • Demonstrate fitting of personal fall arrest system.
  • Demonstrate basic horizontal and vertical movement using personal fall arrest system.
  • Demonstrate advanced horizontal movement using fall arrest systems.
  • Demonstrate advanced vertical movement using fall arrest systems.
  • Demonstrate work positioning using fall arrest systems.
  • Demonstrate reacting to a fall emergency (as the casualty).
  • Demonstrate responding to a fall emergency (as the first person on the scene).
  • Demonstrate basic post rescue casualty management.
  • Demonstrate automatic descent evacuation.
  • Identify legislative requirements for fall protection equipment inspection.
  • Differentiate between pre use inspection and competent inspection.
  • Define criteria for the scheduling of fall protection equipment inspection.
  • Define criteria for post inspection actions.
  • Define criteria for fall protection equipment storage and preventative maintenance.
  • Demonstrate inspection of synthetic anchorage connectors.
  • Demonstrate inspection of steel anchorage connectors.
  • Demonstrate inspection of full body harness.
  • Demonstrate inspection of shock absorbing lanyard.
  • Demonstrate inspection of self-retracting lifeline (SRL).
  • Demonstrate inspection of an escape device.
  • Demonstrate inspection and installation of a horizontal lifeline system.
  • Demonstrate inspection and installation of a vertical lifeline system.
  • Record fall protection equipment inspection results.
  • Identify legislative requirements, roles and responsibilities for rescue from height.
  • Identify hazards while rescue from height.
  • Identify control measures to mitigate risk while rescue from height.
  • Define criteria for establishing an in-house rescue from height team.
  • To undertake risk assessment while conducting rescue from height.
  • Apply best practices for prevention of dropped objects.
  • Apply best practices in the selection, use and maintenance of industrial rescue from height systems Perform pre-use inspection of a personal fall arrest system.
  • Develop industrial rescue from height procedures.
  • Demonstrate inspection of rescue from height equipment.
  • Demonstrate pre-use inspection of a personal fall arrest system for rescue from height.
  • Demonstrate unmanned/manned rescue techniques.
  • Demonstrate vertical rescue techniques while work positioning

 

Note: This cost is included as the following items below, when conduct training at 3M Safety Training Center Thailand:

 

  • Basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be supported during Practical Training such as Safety Helmet, Safety Glasses, Coverall and Gloves.
  • Meal Provided with Lunch and 2 Coffee breaks per Day.
