Certification Validity Period: Statement of Attainment valid for 2 years from date of issue. Training Location: 3M Safety Training Center Thailand /or Onsite. Overview: This course has been designed to meet or exceed the basic requirement for Operator/Supervisor/Rescuer Level (Authorized Person/Supervisor/Rescuer) as stipulated guidelines by ANSI Z359.2 and OSHA 1926.503. This course is aimed at delivering the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to develop student be a competence and work safely in their working at height environment. This course has been contextualized to address the fall hazard and the important of fall protection equipment used in working at height activities. Target Audience: All personnel at an Operator Level, Supervisor Level, Safety Officer, Specialist, Engineer or above, whose responsibilities include working at height, supervising others who work at height and providing emergency response while working at height. Student Prerequisites:  Students should be physically fit and able to participate in moderately strenuous practical activities.  Students shall be following Drug / Alcohol Policy.  Students don’t wear any short trouser and sandal to Training Center.  Student shall prepare and wear Safety Shoes for Training. Document Prerequisite for Training:  Medical Checkup Document.  Copy ID Card /or Passport. Learning Objectives for Authorized Person / Supervisor:  Understand in legislative requirements, roles, and responsibilities for working at height and fall protection.  Understand and be able to identify the hazards in working at height.  Understand and be able to undertake risk assessment while working at height.  Understand in control measures to mitigate risk while working at height.  Understand and be able to develop procedures for the use of fall protection systems.  Understand and apply best practices for prevention of dropped objects.  Understand and apply best practices for the selection and use of access systems.  Understand and apply best practices for fall prevention systems.  Understand and apply best practices for fall arrest systems (anchorage point, body support, connectors, descent systems, emergency, and rescue systems) and evaluate the safety of a fall arrest system.  Understand the conditions and limitations of fall arrest equipment standards.  Understand and be able to pre-use inspection of a personal fall arrest system correctly.  Understand and be able to fit of personal fall arrest system correctly.  Understand and proper demonstrate basic horizontal and vertical movement by using personal fall arrest system.  Understand and proper demonstrate advanced horizontal and vertical movement by using fall arrest systems.  Understand and proper demonstrate work positioning system with using fall arrest systems.  Understand and proper demonstrate and plan to direct lifting by using rope pulley rigging and safe handling of tools & equipment at height.  Understand reacting to a fall emergency (as the casualty).  Understand responding to a fall emergency (as the first person on the scene).  Understand basic post-rescue casualty management.  Understand and proper demonstrate automatic descent evacuation. Learning Objectives for Rescuer:  Understand legislative requirements, roles, and responsibilities for rescue from height.  Understand and be able to identify the hazards while rescue from height.  Understand in control measures to mitigate risk while rescue from height.  Understand and be able to define criteria for establishing an in-house rescue from height team.  Understand and be able to undertake risk assessment while conducting rescue from height.  Understand and apply best practices for prevention of dropped objects.  Understand and apply best practices to selection, use and maintenance of industrial rescue from height systems.  Understand and be able to develop industrial rescue from height procedures.  Understand and be able to inspection of rescue from height equipment.  Understand and be able to pre-use inspection of a personal fall arrest system for rescue from height.  Understand and be able to demonstrate unmanned/manned rescue techniques.  Understand and be able to demonstrate vertical rescue techniques while work positioning.
